Ecart on Close Radio

12.01.2011, 6 - 7 pm / 10 - 11 pm

John M. Armleder, Dream Piece, 1976

From 1976 to 1979, KPFK, a radio station based in Los Angeles, broadcasted Close Radio, a weekly programme that let artists broadcast audio pieces on the FM network. Established by John Duncan and Neil Goldstein, Close Radio is scheduled by Duncan and Paul McCarthy. The latter invited the group Ecart to take over the programme during October 1977.

As part of Ecart, chronologie en cinq jours, from 10th-15th January 2010, Forde Radio has brought together the entirety of these contributions for its first podcast, which is entitled Ecart on Close Radio.
