A five-act performance by Samuelle Etienne and Sébée Roussi-Reynaud. Through recurring characters placed in ever-changing situations, the audience moves through a series of moments in the intertwined lives of these two figures. Presented as a sequence of variations, the piece draws on the imaginaries of romantic partnership and friendship, revisiting and shifting the relationships between desire, projection, and self-staging.
Artists Don’t Dance by Garance Bonard explores collectivity as a practice of resistance, as well as the hierarchies between different forms of knowledge and creative expression. Music is invoked as a way of reflecting on the global dominance of the visual, while bringing the experience of electronic dance music into art spaces, from which it is usually excluded. Slogans are sung over original productions, with the hope of taking the audience through a narrative arc and, together, finding ways not to confuse ego with self-confidence as artists and within the context of cultural production.
Les Médusales is an independent, community-run bookstore in Lausanne that promotes access to decolonial, feminist, and queer literature through a curated selection of books and a cultural programme.
